Dr. V. Joseph Wessels Jr.
Dr. V.
Joseph Wessels Jr. has been in practice since 1976.
He received his N.D. degree in 1976 from the
National College of Naturopathic
Medicine.
He
has maintained a practice in family medicine in
Bellingham, Washington since that time. He has a
keen interest in natural approaches to both pediatric
and geriatric health issues. As a naturopathic
physician, he strongly believes in the role of doctor as
teacher and encourages his patients to make active
decisions in their health. Dr. Wessels is very
active in both community and professional
organizations. He has served on the
Naturopathic Accrediting Board,
CNME,
since
1989. He is a member of both the Washington State
Association of Naturopathic Physicians as well as
the National Association of
Naturopathic
Physicians, the
AANP.
Dr.
Wessels also serves on the board of the Whatcom Dispute
Resolution Center, a non profit mediation center.
Additionally, he serves on the Community Development
Advisory Board, composed of local citizens, serving at
the discretion of the mayor.
